Teen Patti variants: Joker, Muflis, AK47 and Best of Four
The most common house variants of Teen Patti and what each one changes: wild cards, upside-down ranking and extra cards.

Once a group knows the basic game, somebody always suggests a twist. Teen Patti is famous for its variants. The hand ranking stays the same in most of them: the changes are in which cards are wild, how many cards you hold and whether the best hand is the highest or the lowest.
Joker (wild card) Teen Patti
A joker is added to the deck, or a rank (for example every seven) is named wild before the deal. A wild card stands in for any card the holder needs. This makes strong hands much more common: with one fully wild joker a trail appears in 0.55% of hands instead of 0.24%. Because good hands are easier to make, a pair is no longer a comfortable hand.
Muflis (lowball)
Muflis turns the game upside down: the lowest hand wins. The best hand is 2-3-5 in mixed suits, and a trail is the worst hand. Groups differ on whether A-2-3 counts as a sequence or as a low hand, so agree this before dealing.
AK47
Every ace, king, four and seven is wild. Since 16 of the 52 cards are wild, nearly every hand contains at least one, and top-ranking hands are common. Betting tends to be fast and wild.
Best of Four
Each player gets four cards and builds the best three-card hand from them. The extra card makes strong hands more frequent and makes bluffing riskier.
Other common twists
- Joker and Muflis combined: low hand wins, jokers are wild.
- Ek Chaal and similar side rules: house variations on the minimum bet or the show.
- Pot limit and table limit: a ceiling on how much can be bet, which many families use so the game stays friendly.
Choosing a variant
If your group is new, start with the classic game. The cleaner the rules, the fewer arguments. When you add a variant, say the rules out loud and settle: which cards are wild, how sequences rank, and what happens on a tie.
Variants in live casinos
Live-dealer Teen Patti games, such as the tables listed on winzap.vip, are a different thing. They are usually built around two hands, Player A and Player B, and you bet on which one will win. The ranking is the same, but payouts, commission and any joker rules are set by the provider. Read the rules inside each game. See live Teen Patti vs classic Teen Patti.
